phantom of the opera was...the epitome of beauty..to me at least! those ppl who said it was not nice prob didnt take note of the music. it was wonderful...the strains of music keeps playing in my head. totally mesmerised!

sigh, i have to drop my piano ensemb cos it clashes with my own piano lessons. i woulf love to stay though..but nvm, i dun think i can handle so many ccas too...
well, this wk, the stress is coming in! more hmwk, reaching home later...less time...sigh

well well, same old stuff happening in sch today...yeah, so during our lunch break, the girls (when was it ever abt the guys..like where are they?) went over to RI canteen, this time to try the legendary chicken rice. and crashed their lib...haha, felly was so excited abt their extensive collection of jeffrey deaver-s.

niwae, i watched pretty woman on..sunday nite. i like richard gere :) actually always lar..hahah. and i also watched the thomas crown affair today...it was such a witty show! i love such witty crime shows(pierce brosnan =]). i've been slacking a lot this wkend...tht's y it passed so quickly! sighz...but i'm sure more works' coming in!

yest was fun. first of all, jo's hse is like shu's...ultra big. i really love the pavilion thingy....so we played dex's mini mahjong. mini as in, the tiles are like the size of ur finger. ahha, then we wash with our fingers too...and he still had mini cards and mini connect 4. then melody started playing piano...truly reflects her name. i can never play by ear...*SAD* best part was when we sabo ryan and shuting..muahahah. i bet shuting add a lot of marks liao. then the guys wanted to throw dex into the pool...wonder if they did after some of us left...hahah

i must declare a state of emergency-- i need to find someone who wants to watch phantom with me b4 it goes out!!

my sore throat is quite bad..i woke up today unable to spk properly. haha. went for piano audis today...not that bad! i would deem it the best performance i've had...cos it's a super easy song. budden, my principle is, play a easy song WELL, instead of choosing an impressive piece but flunking it. well...lotsa MEP peeps were there....playing wat beethoven? bartok? chopin? sighz...
i have a kinda phobia..like performance jitters or sth...too used to practising alone.

cca fair was ok...mindy and i were so desperately searching for our bleoved tennis booth. but realised that they had finished recruiting...and there's no club (we're setting up one!). i signed up for interact, drama (doing backstage), photog (out of interest), and geographica! hahah, yes yes, i really love geog...they do some recycling and conservation stuff...but if i get into piano ensemb i'll prob drop it. tht reminds me...our human geog lesson was so funny...cos it was with mr lee...and he was blabbering away abt his theory of why women should marry men 2 yrs younger than them. cos from the average life expectancy, women live about 2 yrs longer than men, therefore shud marry someone 2 yrs junior so that they will die together..and he goes on asking us to go to ri and search for some doot sec 3 guy...hahah, damn funny

tht's abt all for today...hope that my sore throat will fully recover for chi ny goodies...BA GUA!!!!

i was really shocked that singapore won the tiger cup! i didnt even know that it was the finals yest...now u noe, i never read the sports section of the newspapers.

shakespeare's "measure for measure" is really ultra, super, duper dense in language, so good luck to all of us doing that. haiz..makes me feel even more worried about my lit. who noes, i might decided to switch back to hcl if i really cant cope. (much to dad's delight). i could endure most of lessons...i think all of us are resilient to boring lessons alrdy, so i survived geog quite easily, also because i love it :) [i'm a true blue geog-ger!]. but my ny's resolution to study hard niwae, so must start paying attn right from the start and be consistent..lesson learnt.

well well, PE tmr...supposedly all the girls are gonna wear RG uniform..wonder how mr A will react...hahahah
oh, have i mentioned that our library is really cool??? they really should consider having a rooftop cafe there, its got the ambience..hahah. really nice, make a trip down if u can :)

*** journalists out there, drop the taupok issue. it's not attention-grabbing anymore. AND, we have a name. it's insulting to refer to us as the "premier college in the bishan-ang mo kio area". our name's not hideous. come on, just spell it out!***

went to shumin's hse for mahjong session! yay, now i noe how to play liao :) we also played bridge and indian poker!! haha, ryan and i were the suayest, we drank like two n a half bowls of water each. fully hydrated! haha. and shumin's dog...tsk tsk. so fierce!! i played with it a bit..it keeps pouncing on ppl and scratching abt...and it runs like lightning. so i dashed to the toilet to prevent him frm pouncing and scratching again....ahaha..slammed the door quite hard :p..it's my fave breed anyway, silky terrier.

must say my og very on! nxt wk got ice skating session summore..muahahah. sad...nxt wk's schedule is a nightmare....

sch has been slack this wk..but not frm nxt wk onwards. yest after first lect (lit) the girls went to the RI canteen to try the legendary wantun mee..hahah, not too bad :) and we played some card games...but somebody kindly warned us that the discipline master was there, so we escaped to this ulu corner in sch. played for quite some time, then we had a mass handphone no. exchanging session....hhaha. so fun! i think our class can click really well, esp cos it's nearly all girls..haha.

we had OG lunch. the guys wanted to watch seed of chucky but of cos the girls dun..haha, so we went sumplace to hang out, and play a bit, and tease ___ and____ a bit...hahah poor them.. then as more ppl lef,t we started to play this SMS game for truth or dare...it's quite funny lar, but rather embarassing..hahah =) we also gave choir boy some tips...(inside joke inside joke). poor him...hahahah

today, we decided to be studious and headed for the canteen to do our maths tutorial. and suddenly mr A. popped in..hahah, jus for awhile lah. did for quite sometime till we were bored stiff, then we started talking, and shopping in our little bookshop. when we headed for our last lect, we took the lift, and we realised that the lift buttons can be "un-pressed" (like, u can cancel the floor no. that u pressed) and we went like "SO COOL!" (and the one third of the male population in my class rolls eyes)...hahah, so amusing. wanted to try for dance lah, under my mum's strong insistence...but the whole world was going....seriously..nearly the whole rgs population...sighz..but didnt go in the end, had a pact with mindy. and saw ppl auditioning for choir. it's quite amazing to see how ppl can be so passionate abt sth at the start...but seriously, after 4 yrs, u get cynical abt it. and guess what, practices end at 8 or 8.30 pm....WONDERFUL. it's strt away out of my list...or else, my hmwk can be a goner. cant wait for cca fair nxt wk....BRR...i hate this.

cant wait to watch phantom of the opera...anyone anyone?

tell me how many ways to spell fun man. yesterday was a SWELL!!! in the morn we had faction initiation, where we played station games with our class agnst classes of another faculty. my class was quite on lah, our pathetic 20 ppl class with only 3 ....yes 3 guys!!! (can the engine fac class pls donate some guys ?) when we needed to pair up for station games, our class needed to have "lesbian" pairs...so funny. sighz. so i'll prob live the next 2 yrs like life in a girls' sch again.

later on was the donation drive for the tsunami victims. my OG went to ppl's park at chinatown. my partner zhiwei looks damn guai. so we started off with a bang, getting abt 30 - 50 bucks in the first 5 min. thnks to his goody look. was quite touched that so many ppl donated so generously. 10 bucks or 5 bucks at a time. so i decided to donate 3 bucks out of my own allowance. we also made our ogl breakdance in public. so we went back to sch, while testing our new guy andrew on the lame-o mrt game that dexuan my ogl cleverly started.

our legs ached like mad so we decided to chill at the k'cove, and started changing for the orientation nite. our theme was goth, so all of us wore black stuff and powdered our face, put black eyeliner, purple lipstick. and the guys had garbage bag capes. the best of all is, all the guys were so on abt the makeup!! they didnt mind having black nail polish and eyeliner and lipstick.....hahah, so i manicured all of them. and jie mei chee hoe said he will wash them off with turpentine..haha. the guys think that the nail polish will miracuously drop off on its own lor...sighz. then we got to the hall for the pageant...which was ok lar, nothing much, most of the time the ppl scream into the mike and we cant really hear anything, so....

then it was the campfire....jus like the one we had during p5 camp, where the fireball rolled down from the 2nd floor. and we started dancing! haha, i think they shud haf taught us the cute sundance! but niwae, for the batch dance, the guys had this section of floor moves. wah, then they so on u noe! hahahha, kinda like mini-breakdance. then we went back to our pizza..which arrived too late. so since we needed to get out of sch by 945, we went to the busstop to have pizza party! while writing notes from everyone. sighz....i will so miss my og and orientation. really glad to have such an enthu og! love u, ennaux

school was more fun today! i like station games!! esp cos my grp is quite on :) won majority of the games. the game where the guys put "tails" on their pants was the funniest!! haha, we were busy forming formations to protect their butts..hahahhahahhahha. learnt the batch dance too. think it's quite fun! i haf understood the need to enjoy what u are doing to do it well...the essence of 'performance' i guess. u have to enjoy what u are doing to convince the audience that it is fun. therefore, it's no use being un-enthu, cos in the end the ppl looking weird and out ofplace will be them. must mention our enthu dance king, zul. shud see him groove man...hahah. as u can tell, i quite like my grp :) ppl are nice, on, and no cold blanket kinda ppl.
spotted zhang jin arnd today...if ph ppl still rmb who he is. rmb in pri 2, i was finally not the last reg no. in class cos he's behind me. going for amazing race tmr

Monday, January 03, 2005

school was quite fun today...besides the times when we just stoned in the hall or trying to crane our necks and listen to the rules of some sit-in-a-circle game. actually i dun really like the feeling of going over orientation again..the whole thing abt comfort zone? haha, let's tok abt my grp. grace(rg) was the first person i talked to. not like a typical gep lah, u noe, the stereotype abt them being eccentric and all. and shu min...prob see each other arnd b4. and this nice st nick's girl shuting, small and cute :) once again, contrary to popular belief of st nick's girls. she's quite smart! and many more lah, the girls were all ok.
as for the guys....*rubs chin* they all look the same to me..................haha. except for those with impressionable images. haha.. sure feels good to have ppl hold the doors for us :)

also met the good ancient hu6-ers, good old 203-ers and not that old 401-ers (wy and her cute fringe! ). niwae, i kinda dread the thot of going to classes..and this time...LECTURES. how do i survive thru lectures. but, my ny resolution is to mug hard. why? cos i'm SO SICK of the feeling of not knowing things even the day b4 O's. therefore, i will try really hard, to start mugging all the way from j1. i regretted not working harder in s3. therefore, let not history repeat itself.

finally i'm back home, after 5 tumultous flights (including cancelled flights and my sis's lost baggage) frm vegas - LA - vancouver - tokyo and home..okie, 4. i believe i can tolerate any other long haul flights after this.

well well, cant believe it's 2005. life has been good to me the past yr. besides little hiccups and undesirable stuff like O's. this yr's events really made me believe that God has His plans for everyone. and i'm more than grateful for them. who would have thought that I could be where i am now?

well, about my holiday. it was a SWELL time. besides the flights and transits and long waits at the airports. Vancouver was pretty, and like my 2nd sis says, a nice place to retire. ppl are frenly, nice weather, nice environment. we weren't with a grp then, so we got to move around ourselves, which i really prefer, becos u feel like u are really experiencing life as a canadian.

nxt was san francisco. it was still sunny when we went there. yummy seafood and mostly sightseeing. not to forget shopping ....hahah. again, all travelling on our own, so we've figured out the public transport system. sure beats taking a tour coach and stopping for 15 min photo stops.
also went on this 17 mile drive thing along the pacific ocean's coast. huge waves...awesome...simply. and as a geog student even the swash and backwash and sedimentary rocks excites me....(ms pang is SO proud of me)

next is LA where we joined the tour grp, where we went to universal studios (i like it!) and disneyland. reliving childhood :) and at disney, it was really "the merriest place on earth" . seeing children getting so happy over the simplest things, believing that mickey really does exist....makes me wonder about the simple joy of life. why do we keep wanting more? why cant we live like children, where all we need is just something to believe in that will make us happy.

went to grand canyon, once again overwhelmed by nature's beauty. (geog geog) well, will post photos sumday.......it's a lot of work

next was Vegas! (dad's eyes light up). overwhelmed by neon lights, but it was cool :) had nice buffet brunch at bellagio, the best hotel there (where ocean's 11 took place) and went around pretty much on our own. went shopping at factory outlet !!! hhaha, i wish there were some in Sg. amd we went to play at Circus Circus hotel and we won a soft toy each :) reliving childhood once again. so then our flights home started...

end of story
