i was watching a documentary on discovery called "End Day". it depicted 4 different scenarios that scientists predict the world will end in 1) a mega tsunami 2) a meteor hits earth 3) a flu pandemic 4) a particulate accelerator experiment that might create a black hole effect.
well, the first 3 are supposed to be "the qn is not whether it will happen, but simply when" while the last is just imagination and sci-fi stuff. i didnt like how the tsunami one only depicted the effects on US East Coast. too small a scale to be "doomsday". hahha, if sth is a doomsday, it should affect the whole world. like the earth exploding frm its core or sth. i thot 2 was what i would believe most in ( did u noe that tiny meteorites hit the earth all the time but they get burnt out while penetrating the atmosphere and thus becomes the dust that settles on your table?) and 3 is the most relevant to current situations. i dunno abt you, but if i know doomsday was coming and i prob wun be able to escape, i will just wait for my death, i wun attempt to run or hide or anth, because its not gonna be very nice being one of the survivors and seeing the bleak world arnd u huh? i guess u'd rather be dead then too.
i kinda like sci-fi hahah, and the simulations and CGI in the docu was good! haha, anyway, it just shows how unpredictable nature is huh? the tsunami one had this scientist saying that such an event had occurred throughout geological time (its supposed to happen because this volcanic island erupted and split into half, and the impact will cause giant waves), and is not gonna stop just because we exist on earth. so true. and makes us feel so very small huh. speaking of nature, i think she has been extremely unkind to Indonesia! Earthquake, tsunami, volcano, earthquake again. leave indon alone for now, there's too much tragedy there!
