today has been a gd day! hahaha, well, the sch was flooded, and the amphi was almost turning into a lake. at the climax, the water was coming in in ripples and we attempted to create an isolated island of dry floor amidst the water. qt funny! i've nv ever seen a sch flood that badly. besides, there was also those potholes bobbing and spurting water and the steps frm the parade sq that formed a wonderful waterfall. time to think abt the sch's drainage!

went for vege talk after that. it was rather compelling! grace and i are affected to start a semi vege diet. there were 3 aspects-health, ethics and economics. health, well, we all noe that meat contains toxins and etc etc. then ethics. this was the most..compelling part. we watched a video on the slaughtering of the animals. VERY SAD. anyone who felt indifferent to that video is not human. for example, cows (even diary cows) are abused and used till they are old and dry and then they are hung upside down, their throats slit, and the blood left to flow till they die. this is cos if the blood remains in the body, the meat will turn bad. it is damn sad and gross. so well....since im not a big fan of meat...i guess i can maintain a fairly vegetarian diet. but i cant take it out of my life totally. hmm, and the economics part - 3 kilos of grain is used to feed 1 kilo of chicken , etc etc and it is very inefficient, esp if the grain and wheats etc can be used to feed many hungry ppl (forgot the figs) with a vege diet. so if we maintain a vege diet, even for a short period, we cut down the consumption of meat and we can save lives and prevent deaths from starvation!

photos make blogs interesting. i think my blog is qt a bore..hmm...but i have no nice pics..oh well
